L. M. Harville
Graveside services for Mr. L. M. Harville, age 89, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday April 22, 2018 at the Plain Dealing Cemetery. Interment will follow after the service under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Mr. Harville was born on November 29, 1928 to Will S. and Mamie Ruth Aulds Harville in Danville, LA and passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Springhill, LA. He was an independent carrier for the Shreveport Times, retiring after 50 years of service. Mr. Harville enjoyed working in his yard, spending time at his lake house on Black Bayou, and especially loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Harville and his wife, Peggy, eloped on bicycles at the ages of 15 and 13, and enjoyed life together for 73 years.
Mr. Harville is survived b y wife, Peggy Kemp Harville of Springhill, LA; daughter, Cathy Hamiter of Sarepta, LA; sister, Anne R. Griffin of Plain Dealing, LA; sister in-law, June Kemp of Gun Barrel City, TX; two granddaughters, Leighann Brown and husband, Clint of Plain Dealing, LA, Lori Lynn Watkins and husband, Buddy of Waldo, AR; grandson, Brian Hamiter and wife, Laura of Haughton, LA; five great-grandsons, Adam Demoss and wife, Melinda of Taylor, AR, Kyle Demoss of Plain Dealing, LA, Zachary Brown of Plain Dealing, LA, Joshua Walsh and wife, Chelsea of Taylor, AR, Brannon Hamiter of Haughton, LA; three great-granddaughters, Ragen Thompson of Magnolia, AR, Haley Ham-iter of Haughton, LA, Clara Shaffer of Haughton; three great-great-grandsons, Brodi Demoss, Luke Demoss, and Bennett Brown.
Mr. Harville was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherry Knighton; brothers, R.L.”Sonny” Harville, Bill Harville, Oscar Harville, and J.B. Harville; sisters, Helen Cater, Dorothy Williams, and Patsy Stephens. Pallbearers will be Brian Hamiter, Adam Demoss, Ky! le Demoss, Zachary Brown, Joshua Walsh.
