Ellen “Kaye” Kaiser Grant
Benton, LA – Ellen “Kaye” Kaiser Grant , a former longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Willis-Knighton Bossier Hospital, Bossier City, LA. Age 86 years and a resident of Benton, LA. She was born in Natchez, MS on April 25, 1932. Ellen was a member of Church of the Way Presbyterian in Baton Rouge and became a member of the Benton Presbyterian Church after moving to Benton in 2000.
She was a gifted artist and quilter that handled life’s challenges with positivity, strength, grace and sense of humor.
She is survived by her son James G.“Jim” Grant, III and daughter-in-law Donna; daughter Sue G. Dicharry and husband Stephen; three grandchildren, Dustin Grant of Dallas, TX; Michael Dicharry and Frances of Clinton, LA; Kayla D. Dysart and Marc of Baton Rouge, LA; and a step-grandson Jason Broussard of Zachary, LA; two great-grandchildren Macklyn and Zadie of Clinton, LA. Preceded in death by her beloved husband James “Jim” Grant, Jr., parents, M. Earl and Rose Lees Kaiser, sister Marian Kaiser Calbert Cop and brother Earl Kaiser, Jr.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 9AM until 11AM. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11AM. Interment, Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery.
