Letrice Morris
Bossier City, LA – Letrice Morris, 71 of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on May 29, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, LA, officiated by Rev. Jessie Colston and Rev. Mike Reichard. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oil City, LA. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 PM on Thrusday, May 31st at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home.
Letrice was born on September 20, 1946 in Vivian, LA to Virgil and Glenera Player. She was raised in Oil City, LA before moving to Bossier City, LA where she lived the past 10 years. She was a member of the Koran Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church Oil City. She loved her church and loved to cook.
Letrice worked as an office manager of an oil company where she cooked for her fellow workers 3 to 4 days a week. She would also cook food for her Sunday school class each week. She loved taking care of her family and loved her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Joe Morris of Bossier City, LA, her 2 children Richard Morris and wife Laura of Shreveport, LA, and Kristi Pagan and husband Tony of Ft. Worth, Texas, her sister Linda Carol Davis of Oil City, LA, her two brothers Virgil Joe “Buddy” Player Jr. of Oil City, LA, and Robert Clayton Player of Oil City, LA. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Kaitlyn Morris, Madilyn Morris, Natalia Pagan, and Alexander Pagan, her nieces and nephews, Donielle Herrera and husband Chase, Tim Davis and wife Twyla, Cory John Davis, and Sonya Gatchell and husband Bruce, and several cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Robert Moffatt, James Simmons, Robert Moffatt III, David Gillespie, Jack Causey and Scott Gross.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Northwestern State University Foundation in Natchitoches, LA 7149 7.
