Alys Ruth Tharpe McLemore
Sibley, LA – A celebration of life service was held for Alys Ruth Tharpe McLemore on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Sibley United Methodist Church in Sibley, Louisiana with Pastor Steve Grenier officiating. Interment followed at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, Louisiana. The family received friends at 10 a.m. Friday on Friday September 7, 2018 at the church.
Alys was born April 6, 1933 in West Monroe, Louisiana and entered into rest September 4, 2018 in Sibley, Louisiana. She was a retired printer and past owner/operator of Associated Printing Professionals, Inc. in Bossier City, Louisiana and was instrumental in starting Sibley Missionary Baptist Church.
Alys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a talented artist and singer whose voice and love for the Lord will live on for future generations.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Tracy Albert McLemore and brother; Carl Leon Tharpe.
She is survived by her son; Tracy L. McLemore of Sibley, daughter; Connie Brown and husband Ronnie of Bossier City, special cousin, who was like a brother; Jack D. Tharpe and wife Barbara of Sibley, grandchildren; Renee Brown Ponder, Peyton McLemore, Molly McLemore, and Leah Dison, great-grandchildren; Caroline Ruth Ponder, Benjamin Brown Ponder, Spencer Tracy Spell, Abbigail Alysse McLemore, Sammie McLemore, and Ezra McLemore.
Pallbearers were Will Hubbard, Peyton McLemore, Tyler McLemore, Benjamin Ponder, Carl L. (Bubba) Tharpe, Jr., Mark Tharpe, and Roger Tharpe.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Brown, Mark Capello, David Morgan, Jack Tharpe, and Jim Tharpe
