She was a member of the Plain Dealing Presbyterian Church and a resident of Plain Dealing, LA until 2012. She spent her final few years in Valley View Health Care Facility in Marksville, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ellis Coile; brothers Arthur, Elmer, and Alton Spears; sisters Rena Mae Doerr, Jessie Denmon, Ethel Harris, and Vallie Spears; half-brothers Thomas and Edgar; half-sisters Lucille Dennis, Ruby Greer, and Mary Ward; and grandson, Craig Sevier. Left to cherish her memory are: her son, Jimmie (Martha) Coile of Plain Dealing, LA; daughters Maxine (Bill) Sevier of Houston, TX; Linda (Roger) Gill of DeRidder, LA; Dianne (Tim) Loupe of Springdale, AR; and Darla (Joel) Tassin of Mansura, LA; 12 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Coile never held a public office nor was she recognized with many awards. To the world, she lived a very simple life. But what she did earn was the title of the “Virtuous Woman.” She was up early and her hands were never idle. She could be found preparing three meals a day for her family, keeping her house clean, sewing clothes for her daughters, planting, canning, or gathering food from her garden. She was the glue that held her family together.
While living alone for over 30 years in Plain Dealing, she faithfully went to “the Center” five days a week for lunch and community time. She played thousands of games of Solitaire and never turned down a good game of dominoes or Rook with her friends.
Although she will be missed, she leaves a legacy of love and impeccable character for her family to embrace.
The family would like to thank all those whose kindness and love touched her life in a special way.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to her grandson Brock’s ministry (Caliber Outreach; 1436 Rock Springs Road; Columbia, TN 38401), the First Presbyterian Church of Plain Dealing, or a charity of your choice.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons: Jeff Coile, Marcus and Brett Sevier, Russ Gill, and Guy and Jake Tassin.
