Winnie J. Lafitte
Bossier City, LA – Services to celebrate the life of Winnie J. Lafitte, 86, will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA.
Officiating the service will be Dr. Randy Harper, Pastor of Bellaire Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Winnie was born in Minden, LA on December 16, 1931, and passed away on the evening of October 12, 2018.
She retired as a collector from the Greater Shreveport Credit Bureau and was a faithful member of Bellaire Baptist Church, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Winnie will be deeply missed!
Winnie is preceded in death by her son, Sidney Dennis Blakeley; husband, Jean Lafitte; former husband, Homer Johnson; four brothers, three sisters, and her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael Blakeley and wife Robin, and Terry Blakeley; brother, Thomas Odell Roberts and wife Geri; two grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
