Summer is the time of year when we get to kick back with a good book and read for the pure joy of reading.
Whether you are sitting on the patio or driving down the road heading to the beach take a few books with you. With so many different formats to choose from like Overdrive, Hoopla, audio books, and print it is easier than ever to catch up on some of the new titles you have been waiting to read.
Encourage the kiddos to read throughout the summer months. New books are arriving daily in the Kids Zone. Also, connect them to TumbleBooks and TumbleBooks Cloud for story books, videos, graphic novels, games and puzzles, and more.
Honors Summer Reading lists for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are available in the Children’s Library. There are plenty of great titles for these age groups to choose from.
For something different try Bedtime Math, www.bedtimemath.com a program to help kids sharpen math skills during the summer. Pick up a form at the library, complete five problems and earn a Johnny’s School Pack.
