In her 20’s she taught dance and worked in a record shop where she met her husband Courtney. They were married on May 7, 1950 and together for 63 years. She had many interests in her life; gardening was her favorite and she always had a beautiful yard with lots of flowers. She also enjoyed golf and was a long time member of Palmetto Country Club. When her children were young she was a Cub Scout den mother and coached girls’softball. In her later years she took up jewelry making and loved giving away her creations as well as teaching others how to make their own. She was very generous with her time and many talents.
Imogene was a long time member of Cypress Baptist Church where she served as a greeter. She never met a stranger and looked forward to her Sunday School Class as well as the other church members. She also looked forward to the day she would see Jesus and all of her family members that went before her. Her 2 dogs Lucy and Lady were very special to her and were a lot of comfort the past few years as well as her close friends. She lived her life to the fullest and with gusto. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church family.
