Stanley G. Coker
BENTON, LA – Services celebrating the life of Stanley G. Coker, 77, will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, LA 71037 with interment following at Hill Crest. MSGR. Carson LaCaze and Brother Billy Pierce will officiate. Pallbearers will be The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Posse. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
Stanley passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016. He was a Ship Captain in the oil industry and spent time in the United States Air Force. He was an original posse member of the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashton Coker and Juanita Furlon; stepmother, Beulah Coker; brother Dickey Coker and daughter Dana Dee Coker.
Surviving Stanley are his wife, Dorothy Dee Coker; son, Kerry Coker and wife Darlene; grandchildren, Katherine Dana Coker, Kerry Dean “K.C.” Coker and wife Hali, Krystal Rusch and husband Roy, MaKall and Dayton Sepulvado. Sisters, Agness Jennings, Katie Lane and husband Bobby, Phylis Hall and husband Clarance and Debeie Adair; Brothers, Tommy Coker and David Coker.
Also left to cherish his memory are his 5 great-grandchildren, Zach Rusch, Christain Rusch, Kallee Rusch, Braelyn Sepulvado and Memphis Jayse Thrasher; Close family, Mary Helen Stoval and husband Roger, Chuck Sanders and wife Denise; and numerous loving relatives.
