Samuel Bruce Lombardino
Samuel Bruce Lombardino, 63, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, September 8th, 2016 after a lengthy battle with kidney disease. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, September 12th, at Bellaire Baptist Church, 1210 Bellaire Blvd., Bossier City, Louisiana, 71112. Dr. Randy Harper will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the celebration. Bruce was born November 5, 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Sammy and Elsie (Gentry) Lombardino.
He graduated from Airline High School, and received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Louisiana State University. On November 5, 1988, he married the love of his life, Virginia Carol Dixon. Bruce was a loyal, long time employee of Allen Millwork.
Although his health forced him into early retirement, he continued to maintain close relationships with many of his co-workers and customers. Like his father, Bruce loved wood working, hunting, and fishing. His favorite hobby was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bruce is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his daughter, Pam Hightower and her husband Jason of Nacogdoches, TX; his two sons, Adam Veatch and wife Felicia, and Brad Veatch, all of Bossier City, LA; his beloved grandchildren, Kerrigan, Russell, and Ariel; his brothers, Bill Lombardino of Bossier City, LA, Charles Lombardino and wife Marty of Coldspring, TX; his sister, Theresa Lombardino Williams and husband Mike of Trophy Club, TX; in-laws, Kees and Billie Dixson of Bossier City, LA, and a number of very special nieces and nephews, including Morgan and Cody Fain of Bossier City, LA, and their daughter Madelyne.
Bruce’s family offers it’s heartfelt thanks to Dr. Carter J. Boyd and Dr. James W. Brodsky, as well as to the the many 4th, 5th, and 6th floor doctors, nurses, and staff of Willis Knighton Pierremont, who cared for him with such compassion over the past few years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
