BENTON – Celebration of life services for Dr. William “Bill” Rose, 76, will be 12 noon, Friday, April 7, 2017 at Galilee Baptist Church, 1500 Pierre Ave., Shreveport, La. Interment will follow at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, La. Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Galilee Baptist Church.
Dr. Rose was retired from the New York City Police Dept. and United States Army Reserves. He was currently teaching at the United Baptist Theological Seminary and the Louisiana Baptist Seminary.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Arlene Rose; sons, William (Bill) Rose, Jr., Brian Rose and Ian Rose; daughter, Sonja Rose Thompson; sister, Lenora Mitchell, Sundria Johnson, and Linenette Baxter, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
