James and Janet Cheatham welcomed Veronica Jan to this world on Christmas Eve 1955 in the small town of Magnolia, AR. Ronnie loved life, loved to laugh, and loved her family most of all. She retired after thirty years of faithful service to the State of Louisiana; first at Shreveport Mental Health Center and later at LSU Health Shreveport, Department of Psychiatry. In the little spare time that she had, she volunteered her time with the Boy Scouts as a den leader of Pack #203 in the NORWELA council and also as the Troop #203 advancement chairperson. In her retirement, she filled her time exploring hobby after hobby with her sister, and best friend, Landy. Ronnie’s lengthy but valiant fight for her life concluded when she passed peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2017.
