Obituary – Lorraine Bragg Kunz

Lorraine Bragg Kunz

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Lorraine B. Kunz, a longtime resident of Bossier City, LA, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 following a brief illness. Born in Prescott, Arizona, Lorraine spent time working in the Arizona State Capitol followed by a long career in the non-profit industry. All the while, she dedicated her spare time to Christ the King School and Church.
Lorraine’s greatest joys were her daughters and her grandson, Jack. She loved spending time with her family and friends, her pets, cooking, singing, the color red, the holidays, especially Christmas, and she loved the New Orleans Saints.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Isabele Bragg, her sister, Dorothy Bragg Kephart and her brother-in-law Max Kephart. She is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Robert Davis Kunz, her daughters Melanie Meeks and Melissa Lewis, her son-in-law William Andrew Jackson Lewis, III (Billy), her grandson, William Andrew Jackson Lewis, IV (Jack), her brother and sisterin- law Dickie and Susan Bragg, her brother and sister-in-law Roy and Billie Bragg and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved and adored.

The family would like to thank the staff of Spring Lake Nursing Home, Willis Knighton Pierremont, and Aime Hospice Care for the kind and gentle care that Lorraine received.

A visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana on Wednesday, November 1 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a graveside service.
Memorials may be made to Baptist Health Foundation in Little Rock, AR for the William Andrew Jackson Lewis IV nursing scholarship at Baptist Health College Little Rock or St. Jude’s Children ’s Research Hospital.
