Obituary – Irene A. Vrbka

Irene A. Vrbka

Bossier City, LA – Services for Mrs. Irene A. Vrbka, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 23, 2018, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Buster Page. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Mrs. Vrbka was born on September 1, 1937, in Loma, NE and passed away on April 20, 2018. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and The Bloom Community Church. Irene enjoyed playing bingo, cards, watching gameshows, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Irene is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Sisel; brothers, Ray and Louis Sisel; and sisters, Elsie Stava and Gladys Jakub. She is survived by her husband, James Vrbka; children, Lyle Vrbka and wife Joyce, Mark Vrbka and wife Cindy, and Lori Rich and husband Wade; grandchildren, Steven Vrbka and wife Andi, Kristin Wilson and husband Garrett, Haylee Polak and husband Tyler, Jessica Roettger and husband Matt, Marissa Guerrero, Quentin Vrbka, Aaron Vrbka, and Kristen Craft and husband Jonathan; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Claire Craft, Landry Wilson and Claire Vrbka; brother, Leonard Sisel and wife Edith; in-laws, Larry Vrbka, Virgil Vrbka and Geraldine Kovar; and loving nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends.

Pallbearers are Steven Vrbka, Garrett Wilson, Jonathan Craft, Matt Roettger, Quentin Vrbka, and Aaron Vrbka. Honorary pallbearers are Kristin Wilson, Haylee Polak, Jessica Roettger, Marissa Guerrero, Kristen Craft, and Andi Vrbka.

The family would like extend a special thanks to the caring staff at Colonial Oaks for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Vrbka.
