Toni Lee Snodgrass Sims
Bossier City, LA – Toni was born on May 4th, 1972 to Ted & Sharon Snodgrass in Bossier City and went to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday April 13th, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a longtime employee of Willis Knighton Health Systems, serving 17 years. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother.
She married the love of her life, Michael, November 23rd, 1996. They then made a life in Haynesville, LA where they welcomed their first born, Micah. In 2003, they moved back to Bossier City and welcomed their second born, Marlee.
To know Toni was to love Toni. Her smile & her laugh were contagious. She had a love for music that she shared with Michael and their closest friends. They enjoyed listening to live bands and watching the LSU tigers. Her love for her family and friends was deep and everyone knew it. Though we are devastated because her time on earth was cut short, her legacy will live on through her children.
Toni is preceded in death by her grandparents, Milfort T. and Katherine Snodgrass and C. L. and Betty Phillips. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Michael Don Sims; son, Micah Draven Sims (Tristin); daughter, Marlee Bradyn Sims; sisters, Terri Norris (Dennis) and Tracy Patterson (Michael); brother, Todd Snodgrass (Pam); in-laws, Pam Auttonberry (Steve) and Mickey Sims (Lori); grand-dog, Bonnie Ray Sims; and numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and dear friends.
A Life Celebration Service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA. Chuck Rist served as officiant. The family received friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday April 17, 2018 for a visitation. Interment followed the service at Shady Grove Cemetery in Haynesville, LA at 2 p.m. Methodist Church is hosting a reception following the graveside service.
Pallbearers for Wednesday’s service included Shawn T. Snodgrass, Logan Norris, Alex Patterson, Colton Snodgrass, Justin Patterson, and Cody Patterson. Honorary pallbearers were Ryan Beavers, Kirby Mayfield, Tony “Toad” Benefield and Ron Coleman.
