Leonard “Dean” O’Daniel
BENTON, LA – A graveside service for Leonard Dean O’Daniel was held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Gstohl. Visitation was held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City.
Dean was born October 14, 1930 in Plain Dealing, LA to Orland and Myrtle Hendricks O’Daniel and passed away peacefully May 24, 2016 at his home in Benton, surrounded by his family. He was a retired salesman for Swift/Con Agra. Dean enjoyed hunting, reading and putting puzzles together.
He was preceded in death by his parents and only son, Michael Dean O’Daniel.
Dean is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie Schelette O’Daniel; daughters, Donna McKee and husband, Michael and Lori Winne; grandchildren, Kimberly McKee, Bryan McKee, Daniel McKee, Courtney Loflin and Lindsey Stewart; great grandchildren, Collin, Allie, Gracie, Sydney, Sadie, Colton and Kingston and sisters, his twin, Alma Jean DeMoss and Louise Johnston and husband,W.J.
