BOSSIER CITY – Graveside services for Kenneth C. Eason will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Forest Park East Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Dr. Steven Pettey of the Pinecroft Baptist Church.
Mr. Eason was born on June 5, 1936 in Middletown, NY to the late Mary and Bill Eason and passed away from a lengthy illness on October 31, 2016. He moved to Shreveport, LA in 1961. He worked for the Shreveport Police Department for 20 years and retired in January 1982. Upon retirement he went to work for the Shreveport Regional Airport Police Department and retired from there in 1997. Mr. Eason proudly served his country for 31 ½ years in the US Army before retiring. He was a member of the 4013th USAG in Bossier City. Mr. Eason married Betty Sue Wilson in 1966. He was a member and past President of the LA. Division of the International Association for Identification, member of The Local Police Union, Local F.O.P. Lodge #3, M.P.O.A, L.P.O.A., and the American Legion Post #14 in Shreveport.
Mr. Eason was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Eason and a brother, Donald Eason. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Betty Sue Wilson Eason; sons, Kenneth Charles Eason, Jr. and William “Billy” Eason and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Jeremy Eason, Brian Eason, and Jodee Eason Crumpley and husband, Ben; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Eason Pater and Gertrude Van Kleeck, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
