William McClellan
Bossier City – William Carroll “Butch” McClellan, 56, passed away on October 21, 2017 from a lengthy illness with cancer. He was born in Springhill, LA. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Ken Richmond. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., the hour prior to service.
He attended high school in Natchitoches, LA and Farmington, NM where he lettered in Baseball, basketball and football. He played football in college at Dodge City Kansas and Louisiana Tech. He carried his athletic success into his professional world where he excelled in the insurance business. Butch loved his family more than anything. He loved spending time at the deer camp with family. He also enjoyed following Sam Burns golf career.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Diana McClellan; sons, Garrett McClellan, Chris Moore (wife Jennifer) and Dustin Moore; mother, Elaine Jones Collier; father, Roy McClellan (wife Gisela); sister, Lisa Vercher (husband Tommy); brother, Joel McClellan; grandchildren, Brantley, Landry and Kolby Moore and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Todd Burns, Chase Burns, Sam Burns, Kevin Shaul, Lonnie Jones and Scott Taliaferro. Honorary pallbearer will be Tommy Vercher.
The family would like to thank Lisa Vercher for all the doctor appointments and support you gave to Butch He also wanted to thank his best friend and cousin, Todd Burns for always being there for him. He enjoyed every second he spent with you.
