Linda Conway

BOSSIER CITY – Linda “Linn” King Conway, 67, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 22nd after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Linn wished for her life to be celebrated, not mourned, and in that spirit her children will host a “Celebration of Life” Saturday, October 28, at 2:00pm at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport.

Well known as a story-teller with a quick and sometimes searing wit, Linn was also the loving mother of six children, 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren whom she guarded with deep love and devotion. Even with many hobbies and pursuits, including working as an online admin-istrator, as co-owner of Button King, and as a property manager, Linn’s family was always her priority and joy.

Linn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Preston Conway; her d aughters Toni Tuggle and Tracy Conway and her brother, Harold King, Jr. She is survived by children Carrol Hanna Vice (Randy); Charlotte Schilling, Johnny Hanna (Renne), and Carey Conway (Jeanne); brothers Richard King, David King (Yvette) and Mark King (Michael) of Baltimore; sister Nancy “Casey” Lanzillotti (David) and sister Elaine King; and an enormous extended family of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chintapalli and the Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center for their love and compassion over the past year. Our deepest gratitude to Hill Cross Hospice for the immediate call to service and getting everything set up to make Mom comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center.
