BOSSIER CITY, LA – Graveside services for Barbara Anne Ward will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Pike Thomas. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Barbara was born August 6, 1931 in Fall River, MA to Edward and Alice Croke and died July 21, 2016 in Shreveport, LA.

Mom was a supportive air force wife and through Dad’s travels enjoyed opportunities that provided her children worldly experiences. Barbara was a volunteer for the Red Cross; specifically for Viet Nam War Casualties at Clark AFB, Philippines and a gallon blood donor until her health declined. She was an avid golfer, a member of Palmetto, Barksdale and Shreveport Women’s Golf Associations and a member of the Webster Bass Master organization. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

Her husband, Henry T. Ward and her parents preceded her in death.
Barbara is survived by four children, Judy Madden and husband, Gary, Thomas Ward, Danny Ward and wife, Tammy and Tegwin Hughes, all of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Amanda Madden, Brandon Madden, Mitchell Ward, Kelli Ward, Danielle Ward, Cody Haynes, Abie Filler and husband, Adam; six great grandchildren and one due in October and lifelong friend, Yvonne Osbourn Micinski.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Chandler and staff for their compassionate care of our loved one.

The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or to St. Jude Catholic Church, 4700 Palmetto Rd., Benton, LA 71006.
