Edna I. Andrews Holcomb “Mama Jean”

Bossier City, LA – A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church Haughton Saturday July 30th at 11:00 AM. Officiating the service will be Brother Scotty Gibson. There will be a private burial following the service.

Mrs. Holcomb entered into rest on July, 20 2016 at the age of 84. She was a loving mother to her children and to many others who knew her as “Mama Jean”. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, being with her grandchildren, and working crossword puzzles on her patio with a good cup of coffee. She loved birds, especially parakeets and cardinals. She was loving, kind, generous and always witty. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas M. Holcomb, parents Mr. and Mrs. James Andrews, her son Thomas Dale Holcomb, grandsons Aaron and Austin Trowbridge, sisters Mary Ann Weaver, Sandra Bradley and brother Eugene Andrews.

She is survived by her sons Michael Holcomb and wife Nancie, Rick Holcomb and wife Amanda, her daughters Marian Rainer and husband Mike, Debbie Donald and husband Scott, Donna Trowbridge and husband Jeff, Teresa Green, Tammie Dawson and husband Ted. Her grandchildren Beth LeBlanc and husband Auguste, Holley Chapman and husband Brandon, Ashley and Tyler Trowbridge, Garrett and Allyson Green, Matthew Holcomb, Lance Holcomb, David and wife Darby, Jordan, Dylan and Brooke Dawson, Lyndsey Bardwell and husband Sean, Casey Rainer and wife Sarah. Great grandchildren Braelyn Chapman, Arya Dawson, Asa, Amity and Alexis Curtis and Ava Bardwell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association.
