HAUGHTON, LA – Services for Mary “Nana” Vanderpool will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Of ficiating will be Rev. Harrell Shelton of Airline Baptist Church. A committal service will be at 4 p.m. at DeBerry Cemetery, De Berry, TX. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA.

Mary was born July 6, 1940 in Malvern, AR and died July 26, 2016 in Haughton, LA. She was a member of Airline Baptist Church. Mary was a retired LPN. She enjoyed singing, traveling with her grandchildren and Broadway musicals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Franklin Vanderpool; parents, Clarence and Betty Phillips and mother and father-in-law, Clifford and Edith Adkins.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Donna Thorn and husband, James, Debbie Vanderpool, Diane Vanderpool and Michael Jeter, Sonya Wildcat, Gail Scott; sisters, Phillis Washeleski and husband, Joseph, Sharon Snodgrass and husband, Ted; brother, Steve Phillips and wife, Patricia; grandchildren, Hannah Thorn, Hayden Thorn, Dallas Vanderpool, MichaelAnne Vanderpool, Michael “JJ” Jeter, Jr., Victoria Scott, David McGlumphy and Connie Maikai; special nieces, Jodi Craig and Jackie Darner; best friends, Mary McClain, Dr. Clint and Gracie McAlister, the doctors and staff at Orthopedic Specialists and a host of other family and friends.

Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be, Hayden Thorn, Clay Craig, Brad Darner, Joseph Washeleski, Steve Phillips and Michael Jeter. Honorary pallbearers will be, David McGlumphy, Caleb Gullion, Zack Darner and Statler Craig.
